I am Ten – 229

Richard Koh Fine Art (RKFA) is delighted to present I am Ten, a special exhibition celebrating RKFA’s tenth anniversary and the unveiling of the gallery’s new exhibition space – at 229 Jalan Maarof, Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 13 June – 1 July, 2015. The opening reception will be held at the new exhibition space on the 13th of June (Saturday) 2015 from 2 – 8 pm.

While the Bangsar Village II gallery will showcase young and upcoming talents, with an emphasis on Malaysian artists, 229 Jalan Maarof (229) will in turn function as the gallery’s main space – largely meant for private viewing, housing work by local and foreign artists working from around Asia – in an expansion of the gallery’s existing setup, fitting for its tenth anniversary.

True to the gallery’s commitment to promote contemporary art by both emerging and established Asian and Southeast Asian artists, I am Ten celebrates RKFA’s history and its ensemble of artists; local and regional, working with a varied range of media, approaches and concerns. These diverse group of artists have been exhibited or represented by the gallery over the course of the gallery’s ten years, and the exhibition signals a decade of the gallery’s continued zeal in encouraging artistic practices which excite and challenge, while also serving as a primer of what is to come for RKFA.
