What Minstrel Kuik’s solo exhibition at Richard Koh Fine Art Singapore will feature 19 new works, each exploring the structure and intricacies of Malaysian democracy and its representative system. Using fabric as a medium, she mixes and matches political flags, and deconstructs its form to create an new visual language that emphasises on materiality. Apart from the visual impact that Minstrel creates, she also highlights the intrinsic link between art and politics—the visual power that the creative sector harnesses.
