Zac Lee

Zac Lee (b.1968, Johor, Malaysia) has a diploma in Fine Arts from the Kuala Lumpur College of Art (1990) and a diploma in Illustration from The One Academy of Design (1993). In 2006, he won a full sponsorship by Freeman Fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center, US. In 2010, he was selected for the Three Shadows Residency in Beijing, China.

Lee was awarded as the finalist for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in Hong Kong in 2014 and the silver award for UOB Painting of The Year 2020. He has participated in local and international exhibitions since 2006, including The Peak Magazine’s 25th Anniversary, Galeri Petronas, Kuala Lumpur and ASIA WEEK NEW YORK, Louis K. Meisel Gallery, New York, US.

He currently resides in Kuala Lumpur, and teaches as a senior lecturer at the Dasein Academy of Art, Kuala Lumpur.
