Richard Koh Fine Art (RKFA) Singapore is pleased to present Floral Serenity, a solo exhibition by Thai artist Natagon Khamkayprong, running from 26 April to 17 May 2025 at the gallery’s Singapore space.
Drawing from the quietude of everyday life, Floral Serenity captures fleeting moments of stillness through intimate portrayals of flowers. Rooted in personal experience, the exhibition reflects Khamkayprong’s contemplative practice of observing and painting floral arrangements from his home garden. In this body of work, the artist invites viewers to slow down and rediscover the delicate beauty of the natural world.
Inspired by time spent in the peaceful surroundings of his backyard garden, Khamkayprong turns his attention to the subtle transformations of flowers throughout the day—their shifting hues, gentle gestures, and the emotions they evoke. These scenes, filtered through the lens of memory and sensitivity, are rendered in paintings that reveal a quiet intensity beneath their minimalist compositions.
Bringing flowers indoors, arranging them in vases, and translating their presence into paint becomes a meditative process for the artist. Each work in Floral Serenity serves not only as a visual record, but also as a personal reflection on transience, perception, and emotional resonance in everyday encounters with nature.
Through this exhibition, Khamkayprong continues his exploration of simplicity and poetic nuance, offering viewers a space for introspection and calm—a moment of pause in a fast-moving world.
