Pik Chaichit – Unseen

Richard Koh Fine Art (Bangkok) is pleased to present Unseen, a solo exhibition by Thai artist Pik Chaichit, on view from 2 to 30 May 2026. This exhibition marks the artist’s latest body of work following his debut presentation with the gallery in 2025.

Unseen brings together a series of oil paintings that explore constructed scenarios shaped by both conceptual inquiry and emotional perception. Within these compositions, Chaichit assembles fragments of relationships between human figures, animals, and everyday objects. These elements co-exist within carefully staged environments, where each painting presents a distinct situation rendered with clarity and precision.

Beyond their apparent narratives, the works are anchored by intangible states of being. These states—ranging across familiarity and estrangement—operate alongside the depicted scenes, forming an inseparable layer that resists direct interpretation. Chaichit’s practice centres on the tension between what is visible and what remains obscured, examining how space, time, and presence can coexist within a single pictorial field.

Rather than offering fixed meanings, Unseen invites a sustained encounter with ambiguity. The paintings do not seek immediate resolution; instead, they foreground the quiet persistence of emotions and conditions that evade articulation. Through this approach, Chaichit opens a contemplative space in which viewers engage with the subtle interplay between perception and introspection. Executed in oil on canvas, these paintings reflect the artist’s ongoing exploration of psychological atmospheres embedded within everyday imagery.

Born in 2002 in Thailand, PIK CHAICHIT is a recent graduate of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University, Bangkok. While at an early stage in his career, his practice demonstrates a focused commitment to developing a nuanced visual language that bridges observation and inner experience.
