Imhathai Suwatthanasilp

Imhathai Suwatthanasilp (b.1981, Thailand) is a Thai mixed-media artist known for her distinctive use of human hair to explore themes of identity, memory, and belief. Her practice draws from personal experiences and broader cultural, social, and historical contexts, often reflecting on morality, customs, and human relationships. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Silpakorn University and participated in international programs in Paris and Florence. A former lecturer, she is now a full-time artist whose works have been exhibited globally, including major biennales. Her works are held in public collections such as the Singapore Art Museum.
