JAKAPAN VILASINEEKUL (b.1964, Bangkok, Thailand) is a contemporary Thai artist known for his sculptural assemblages and installations incorporating found objects, everyday materials, and traditional forms. Educated at Silpakorn University and later at the State Academy of Design in Karlsruhe, Germany, his practice explores memory, human existence, and social realities through symbolic and archetypal imagery. Jakapan often transforms discarded objects into poetic compositions that reflect cultural fragility and emotional resonance. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions and residencies, including the Artist-in-Residence programme at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in 2003. He currently lives and works in Bangkok, and has also taught sculpture at Silpakorn University.
